Jeff is the Managing Partner of the firm’s new Wichita office and the Managing Attorney for Kansas single-event cases, joining the firm in January 2026. A seasoned litigator with a deep commitment to holding negligent parties and insurance companies accountable, Jeff is dedicated to securing justice for victims of catastrophic injuries.
Before joining the firm, Jeff practiced at one of the state’s largest personal injury firms, where he aggressively advocated for clients and took 14 cases to trial over a five-year span. A formidable presence in the courtroom, he obtained the highest trial verdict at his previous firm in 2021, 2023, 2024, and 2025. Across his career, Jeff’s trial verdicts have, on average, exceeded the highest pretrial settlement offers by more than ten times.
Jeff handles a wide range of complex personal injury matters, including trucking collisions, automobile crashes, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death cases, and insurance bad faith claims. Known for securing substantial recoveries, some of his most notable results include an $8.2 million judgment in a motorcycle crash and a $1.7 million verdict in a motorcycle case against a municipality for failing to maintain roadways in a reasonably safe condition. Additionally, Jeff has successfully settled multiple cases in excess of $5 million.
Beyond the courtroom, Jeff is a prominent leader and advocate within the Kansas legal community. Recently, he was honored with the Thomas Sullivan Award by the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association (KTLA). This award recognizes promising attorneys in practice for 10 years or less who are building effective litigation practices, demonstrating leadership, and nurturing the values of the trial lawyer profession.
Jeff is highly engaged in appellate advocacy and legal scholarship. Serving on the KTLA’s Amicus Committee, he authored the brief submitted in Nicholson v. Mercer, a pivotal Kansas Supreme Court case that affirmed a bad faith judgment against Key Insurance Company. Jeff also serves on the KTLA’s Board of Governors and the Board of Editors for the KTLA Journal, where he is a frequent contributor.
Background
Jeff brings a uniquely well-rounded legal background to his personal injury practice. He started his career at Anderson & Byrd, LLP, a small general practice firm in Ottawa, Kansas, where he focused on oil and gas litigation and energy law. During his time there, he also served as the City Attorney for Richmond, Kansas. He was also President of the Franklin County Bar Association.
In 2018, he moved to Wichita to join the prominent Hinkle Law Firm, handling business litigation, insurance defense, and employment litigation. He has served as the chair of the Wichita Bar Association’s Civil Practice Committee since then. It was during this time that he discovered his true passion for the courtroom and trying cases. Driven by a desire to help injured individuals rather than defend corporations, he transitioned to personal injury law in 2020.
Jeff attended the University of Kansas, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Strategic Communication. He went on to earn his Juris Doctorate with Dean’s Honors from Washburn University School of Law in 2014, where he was recognized as a Dawson Scholar.

Personal
Jeff is an Orthodox Christian and is deeply committed to serving his community. He serves as the Vice President of Shepherd’s Walk Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charitable foundation whose mission is to support organizations that are motivated by faith traditions and are working to bring about justice and fair treatment, to provide holistic care, and to empower the underserved.
He is married to a fellow attorney who practices family law, and together they have two young boys, ages 5 and 2. Outside the office, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys—despite them consistently letting him down year after year.
