Alexander C. Melin

Mr. Melin prides himself on making himself available for clients, listening to their needs, and guiding clients through what can be a very challenging and confusing legal process. Mr. Melin’s goal is always to obtain the best possible outcomes for his clients.


Alexander C. Melin was born and raised in Garden City, Kansas. He attended the University of Kansas, graduating in the top ten percent of his class in 2006 with a B.A. in Slavic Languages and Literature. Mr. Melin subsequently earned his M.A. in Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies in 2008.

Mr. Melin studied law at the University of Kansas School of Law, graduating with his J.D. in 2014, in the top ten percent of his class. While in law school, Mr. Melin interned with the Finney County Attorney in Garden City, Kansas and with the American Chamber of Commerce in the Republic of Georgia.

After law school, Mr. Melin first worked in a wide variety of practice areas in a firm in southwest Kansas and then as an Assistant County Attorney in Ford County, Kansas, prosecuting cases ranging from speeding tickets to murders. Mr. Melin joined the Dickerson Oxton Law Firm in late 2017.

Mr. Melin is licensed to practice in Kansas, Minnesota, and Missouri.


Mr. Melin is married and has one daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, literature, chess, pub trivia, skiing, learning languages and traveling.
