What is a hit and run accident?
A hit-and-run car accident is where another vehicle hits your car and, basically, flees or leaves the scene. A lot of people who are in that awful situation might throw up their hands and say, “Okay, well, there’s nothing that can be done here. This person is gone.”
It couldn’t be further from the truth. There is something called uninsured motorist coverage or UM coverage as we call it. It is designed to cover that exact situation and it’s through your own car insurance.
